Following the phenomenal worldwide impact of its two first editions in 2020 and 2022, the 3rd edition of La Maestra Competition and Academy will take place in March 2024, giving a unique international platform and unprecedented support to talented women conductors from all over the world.

The result of an exciting and innovative collaboration between the Paris Mozart Orchestra and the Philharmonie de Paris, La Maestra is the first International Competition and Academy for women conductors.

Our joint objectives are to champion vocational aspiration, to unite the international musical community behind a strong commitment to women conductors and, through the Academy, to offer the youngest among them the support they did not always receive during their training.

The talent is there in abundance. We are determined to give it the visibility and encouragement it deserves.
