Le Bel Été européen de Bourges 2026

As part of this new edition of the Bel été européen de Bourges, Claire Gibault and the Paris Mozart Orchestra will perform on the festival’s main stage, set in Square du Cardinal Lefèbvre in the heart of Bourges’ beautiful historic centre, for a free open-air concert.

The programme features The Four Seasons, Antonio Vivaldi’s iconic Baroque masterpiece. In this cycle of four concertos, Vivaldi conjures music of immediate vividness: the return of spring, the heat of summer, the bustle of the harvest and the chill of winter all come to life through writing that is energetic, virtuosic and richly evocative. A true sonic fresco, the work reveals the composer’s extraordinary gift for translating nature into music through colour, contrast and dramatic expression.

An evening brought to life by the musicians of the Paris Mozart Orchestra, violin soloist Eric Lacrouts, and conductor Claire Gibault.
