Co-founded by the Paris Mozart Orchestra and the Philharmonie de Paris, the La Maestra Competition and Academy aim to give greater visibility to women conductors and support them in building their careers. With its first three editions in 2020, 2022, and 2024, La Maestra has established itself as a landmark event on the international classical music scene.

Through this Competition and Academy, the Paris Mozart Orchestra and the Philharmonie de Paris seek to achieve three main objectives: to champion vocational aspiration, to unite the international musical community behind a strong commitment to women conductors and to offer the youngest among them the support they did not always receive during their training.

The talent is there in abundance. We are determined to give it the visibility and encouragement it deserves.
