Sefa Yeboah

Actor, member of the Comédie-Française

Sefa Yeboah joined the School of the Théâtre national de Strasbourg in 2019, where he trained with artists including Dominique Valadié, Jean-François Sivadier, Mathilde Delahaye, Loïc Touzé and Marc Proulx. During his studies, he performed the role of Danton in Nous entrerons dans la carrière, adapted from Alejo Carpentier and directed by Blandine Savetier, and took part in Donnez-moi une raison de vous croire by Mathieu Bauer alongside the entire Group 46 ensemble.

In 2023, he joined the troupe of the Comédie-Française. There, he performed under the direction of Thomas Ostermeier in Brecht and Weill’s The Threepenny Opera, first presented at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and later at the Salle Richelieu.

He has since appeared as Don Apostolo Gazella in Victor Hugo’s Lucrèce Borgia, directed by Denis Podalydès, who also cast him as Léandre in Molière’s Les Fourberies de Scapin. He performed in La Reine des neiges, l’histoire oubliée, adapted from Andersen and directed by Johanna Boyé, played Ulysses in Claudine Galea’s Trois fois Ulysse directed by Laëtitia Guédon, and Christopher Wren in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap directed by Lilo Baur. He also appeared as the Guardian Angel in Claudel’s Le Soulier de satin, directed by Éric Ruf and revived in the Cour d’honneur at the Festival d’Avignon in 2025.
