Balade Musicale: Athena the combative

Commissioned to the composer Manon Lepauvre on a text by Isabelle Pandazopoulos, the melodrama Athena the Combative constitutes the foundation of the artistic project “Orchestre Au Bahut” in Île-de-France and Centre-Val de Loire for the 2023/2024 season.

Central figure in Greek mythology, Athena, daughter of Zeus and goddess of wisdom, carries a strong imagination about the place of women. A project aimed at sensitizing students to the issue of the place of women in music and more generally in society.

Co-organized by the Mairie du 9e and the Paris Mozart Orchestra, these free musical events have been a highlight of the 9th arrondissement’s cultural life for several years now.
