Link to come
This year once again, join us to celebrate the close of a season of Balades musicales and the beginning of summer with our traditional free concert (booking required), held in the courtyard of the 9th arrondissement Town Hall as part of the Fête de la Musique.
The programme features Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, one of the most iconic masterpieces of the Baroque repertoire. Across this cycle of four concertos, Vivaldi creates music of striking immediacy: the return of spring, the heat of summer, the bustle of the harvest and the chill of winter all come vividly to life through writing that is energetic, virtuosic and richly evocative. A true sonic fresco, the work showcases the composer’s extraordinary ability to translate nature into music through contrasts, colour and texture.
An evening brought to life by the musicians of the Paris Mozart Orchestra, violin soloist Eric Lacrouts and conductor Claire Gibault.
