Major free concert
as part of Bourges 2028
Free admission, subject to availability.
Tickets must be collected in advance at the Maison de la Culture de Bourges (maximum 2 per person) – Place Seraucourt, from Tuesday to Friday, 1 PM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 1 PM to 6 PM.
With this concert, the PMO and its conductor, Claire Gibault, pay tribute to the “New World Symphony,” one of the most beloved masterpieces of classical music, composed by the renowned Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. This choice serves as a nod to the Czech Republic, whose city of České Budějovice will share the title of European Capital of Culture with Bourges in 2028. It also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Bourges, the first mid-sized city in France to receive this honor. Through this work, a symbol of renewal and openness, we celebrate Bourges and the Centre-Val de Loire region, a future hub for music and creativity!
“Under the baton of Claire Gibault, leading the Paris Mozart Orchestra, every nuance was carefully attended to as she guided the audience through the rhythms and musical richness of Dvořák’s New World Symphony.” Le Dauphiné Libéré – 24/08/2024
