The Paris Mozart Orchestra, in partnership with the Maison de la Culture de Bourges, invites you to a spellbinding evening where music unveils the secrets of summer nights. The night begins with Mendelssohn’s enchanting overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, conducted by Eu-Lee Nam, a semi-finalist in the 2024 La Maestra competition. In this piece, inspired by Shakespeare’s play of the same name, the notes dance like fireflies in the night. The evening continues with Berlioz’s Les Nuits d’été, a collection of six melodies set to poems by Théophile Gautier. This vocal masterpiece is elevated by the luminous voice of Victoire Bunel. The second half of the concert is dedicated to Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, a bold and revolutionary work that heralded the Romantic era. An exceptional musical interlude beneath the stars!
