Clara Danchin

Violinist

Passionate about chamber music and pedagogy, Clara Danchin is a violinist and a violin professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse. She began studying violin in Paris with Larissa Kolos. After completing her studies at the CRR de Paris, she joined the class of Itzhak Rashkovsky at the Royal College of Music in London, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in 2014, a Master’s degree in performance in 2016, and an Artist Diploma in 2017 with the highest distinctions.

As an eclectic musician, she is dedicated to interpreting and serving music in all its forms. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall and St Martin’s in the Field, and participates in numerous festivals (Keshet Eilon in Israel, Santander International Music Festival in Spain) and with various orchestras (Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, Paris Mozart Orchestra).

A laureate of the Cziffra Foundation, she has also received support from numerous other foundations and has participated in masterclasses with Zakhar Bron, Ivry Gitlis, Marianne Piketty, and Qian Zou, among others. She regularly accompanies artists from various musical genres, such as Yael Naïm, Patrice Bart-Williams, Rod Stewart, and La Femme.

She forms the Duo Alma with pianist Anna Jbanova, with whom she recorded a CD titled “Créatrices” (Klarthe label), praised by critics, featuring works by unfairly overlooked female composers.
