Fanny Azzuro has a vagabond piano, taking all the paths of the keyboard that her appetite for repertoires, encounters and experiences opens up to her.

The first French pianist to record the complete Rachmaninov Preludes, her album The Landscapes of the Soul was selected as the classical record of the month for October 2021 in Le Monde, and received 4 stars in La Libre Belgique, ‘a new reference in the field! ‘ (Resmusica).

Inspired by her mentor Boris Petrushansky, with whom she studied at the prestigious Imola Piano Academy, she has developed a passion for the Russian repertoire of the 20th century, and has been focusing on this repertoire in her recent recitals.

Her piano recording of works by Ravel, Debussy and Albéniz, 1905 Impressions, released in 2017, received many awards: nomination for the International Classical Music Awards, Pianist Maestro, 5 crore Pizzicato, 4 stars from Pianist Magazine and Concertclassic’s choice: ‘ Fanny Azzuro’s recording is a little marvel! 

Her last few seasons have been punctuated by concerts on the prestigious stages of the musical world, notably Carnegie Hall, Roque d’Anthéron (recital broadcast on France Musique), Folle Journée de Nantes, Nohant Chopin Festival, Lille Piano Festival, Salle Cortot.

She likes to create bridges between different universes and, after ten years of complicity with the SpiriTango Quartet, she continues her eclectic career, as passionate about solo and concerto repertoires with orchestra, as she is about atypical arrangements in duet with the marimbist Adélaïde Ferrière or with the jazz pianist Hervé Sellin; She explores the most contrasting worlds of chamber music such as the Saint-Saëns Quintet with the Talich Quartet, Chausson’s Concert performed with the Girard Quartet, Franck’s Quintet performed with the Hermès Quartet in Angers and with a Korean ensemble in Seoul, Schumann’s Quintet and those of Fauré with the Voce and Van Kuijk Quartets, notably during the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival.

She takes great pleasure in dialoguing with great musicians such as Solenne Païdassi, Ophélie Gaillard, Patrick Messina, Pierre Génisson and André Cazalet. In the coming seasons, she will play with the violinist Deborah Nemtanu, whom she particularly appreciates.

A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the piano and chamber music classes, she has won several prizes in international competitions in France and the United States (Cincinnati and Washington). A Yamaha artist, she has also received support from the Spedidam, the Mécénat Musical Société Générale, the Fondation Safran and the Adami.
