the season
2025-2026
More than ever, in this time of economic crisis and strict budget cuts, especially in the cultural field, we hold fast to the values of sharing and solidarity that are so dear to us, while remaining inventive and inspired by the principle of “happy simplicity.”
The opening of our concert season is dedicated to Fraternità, so cherished by Mozart, highlighting the talent of the orchestra’s soloists.
Our conducting masterclasses are now open to the public, strengthening our mission of transmission and paving the way for the landmark event that the International Competition for Women Conductors, La Maestra, has become. It will take place at the Philharmonie de Paris at the end of February 2026.
Le murmure du rucher, the PMO’s 2025–26 creation inspired by Maurice Maeterlinck’s The Life of the Bee—which will also be performed as part of the Orchestre au Bahut educational season—has been entrusted to Franco-Irish composer, violinist, and conductor Fiona Monbet. This reaffirms both our commitment to gender equality and our dedication to raising awareness among all audiences about the challenges of biodiversity.
Finally, the “Third Place” project Art, Culture and Mental Health, developed in close collaboration with the George Sand Hospital Center in Bourges, is taking shape. A new branch of the Chair of Philosophy at the Hospital, dedicated to the relationship between arts and mental health, will be inaugurated in Bourges next November by philosopher Cynthia Fleury. Bourges, where our artistic residency continues to grow richer and more exciting every day, with concerts at the Maison de la Culture, the Conservatory, and in schools across the city and the Cher region!
This season, we will joyfully celebrate the orchestra’s 15th anniversary as a new beginning, surrounded by a united, caring, and talented team—together with all our musicians.
