Bertrand Kulik

French violinist Bertrand Kulik began playing the violin at age 5 with Alexi Gotkowski. He was participating in many violin masterclasses with Gérard Jarry, Roland Daugareil, Christophe Poiget, Guy Comental, Marie-Annick Nicolas, Ani Schnarch and Itzhak Rahkovsky. Bertrand Kulik was studying with Clara Bonaldi at Conservatoire de Versailles, receiving First Prize in 1999. He continues his studies in Conservatoire de Paris, as well as in Conservatoire de Saint Maur, as Cycle Superieur. In 2007 he received Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at The Royal College of Music of London, violon with Ani Schnarch.

Bertrand Kulik is a winner of prestigious Scholarship for International Festival of Music of Bowdoin in United States and was invited to perform in festivals such as: International String Orchestra Festival in Malta, Festival de La Roche-Posay, Summer Festival du Château de la Petite Malmaison, Festival de La Chaise-Dieu, Festival d’Avignon, Festival de l’Abbaye de La Prée. He is collaborating regularly with many French prestigious orchestras, such as: L’Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France, Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire, Orchestre de l’Alliance, Orchestre Pasdeloup, Forum Sinfonietta, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Tours and recently with Paris Mozart Orchestra. He performed in main Paris Concert Halls, as: Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Pleyel, Théâtre Mogador, Salle Gaveau, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra Bastille, Cité de la Musique et la Seine Musicale.

Bertrand Kulik didn’t focus on the violin exclusively. His other interests include photography. His pictures of astronomy, nature and natural phenomenon, especially lightning strike over Eiffel Tower, clouds, rainbows and sunset with green flash travelled all over the world and have been published in most famous newspapers: Nasa, Paris Match, Figaro Magazine, Le Nouvel Observateur, Daily Telegraph, The Metro, The Sun, The Guardian, Le Parisien, La Repubblica, New York Daily News, Digital SLR Photography and many others. Bertrand Kulik is working for many international photo agencies, as Sipa, Ciel et Espace, Nature Image, Caters News, Barcroft, Guzzelian. Photos by Bertrand Kulik were presented also by French Television. Together with Pianist Magdalena Zuk is forming piano & violin duo and performing Concert & Projection new concept with his photos, as dialogue between music and images. They performed together in France, England, Poland and in Japan (Osaka and Kyoto) and recently for Chopin Festival on Shikoku Island.
