Victoire Du Bois

Actor

Victoire Du Bois is a French-American actress, originally from Texas, who grew up in Corbeil-Essonnes.

She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (CNSAD) in 2012. Upon graduating, she was cast by Patrice Chéreau in As You Like It, a project that, unfortunately, never saw the light of day. She then performed under Luc Bondy in Tartuffe and Ivanov at the Théâtre National de l’Odéon, as well as with Pascal Kirsch in Pauvreté, richesse, hommes et bêtes and La Princesse Maleine at the Festival d’Avignon.

In 2013, she wrote and performed her own one-woman show, HOPE!, which she presented in both France and the United States.

Her film career includes roles in several notable productions, such as Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name, Nicole Garcia’s From the Land of the Moon, Jérémy Clapin’s I Lost My Body, and Léa Forest & Cosme Castro’s We Are Young and Our Days Are Long. In 2019, she worked with Guillaume Renusson and Samuel Bodin.

Seeking to deepen her craft, she participated in a workshop with Krystian Lupa, who invited her to observe his rehearsals for Capri in Warsaw for a month. This experience sparked her reflection on the concept of the “creative actor.”

In 2021, she appeared in films directed by Cédric Jimenez and Xavier Giannoli, alongside Vincent Lindon. In 2023, she worked with Thierry de Peretti on À Son Image, an adaptation of Jérôme Ferrari’s novel.

She is currently preparing for Arthur Harari’s next film.

Driven by a desire to step behind the camera, she is set to direct her first film, A Bitter End, produced by Ecce Films.
