Three winners of the third edition of the La Maestra international competition for women conductors will perform iconic works from the Romantic and modern repertoire, while Claire Gibault, the driving force behind this initiative to promote women in music, will lead the world premiere of a piece by young Ukrainian composer Alisa Zaika, as well as Beethoven’s majestic Symphony No. 3, the “Eroica.” A musical evening celebrating the excellence of women in orchestral conducting!

Preceding the concert, at 5:00 PM, a roundtable discussion titled “Heroic? The Voice of Women Conductors Today” will take place in the Conference Hall of the Philharmonie de Paris. Moderated by Sophie Iborra, Consulting Director for Engagement at La Tribune and La Tribune Dimanche, it will bring together Patricia Moyersœn, President of the Paris Mozart Orchestra, along with Claire Gibault and conductors Bar Avni and Liubov Nosova. Admission is free, subject to availability.
