Eléonore Denarié

Violonist

Hailing from the Lyon region, Éléonore Denarié began playing the violin at the age of seven. After winning a Gold Medal at the Lyon Conservatory at just 16, she continued her studies at the Paris Conservatory under Jean Léner and earned first prize. She was admitted unanimously to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon in the classes of R. Daugareil and A. Roussin, where she completed her Master’s degree. She then refined her skills in the class of J.J. Kantorow in Rotterdam.

From a young age, she was passionate about orchestral music and joined the Rhône-Alpes Youth Orchestra at 13, under the direction of Tibor Varga, a pivotal experience for her. She later became a member of the French Youth Orchestra and spent several seasons with the European Union Youth Orchestra.

She has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Paris Opera, Royal Albert Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Musikverein in Vienna, Royal Opera of Versailles, and Philharmonie de Paris, as well as numerous festivals such as the Chaillol Festival, Lucerne Festival, Bolzano Festival Bozen, Festival des Arcs, Roque d’Anthéron Festival, Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, Saintes Festival, Nantes Folles Journées, and Côte Saint André Festival.

She has had the opportunity to play with top orchestras like the Paris National Opera Orchestra, Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, Paris Orchestra, Paris Chamber Orchestra, Royal Opera of Versailles Orchestra, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Lyon National Orchestra, Lyon National Opera Orchestra, and the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain.

She has worked with internationally renowned conductors such as G. Prêtre, B. Haitink, Sir Colin Davis, V. Ashkenazy, G. Rojdestvenski, M. Janowski, M.W. Chung, E. Krivine, P. Boulez, V. Jurowski, M. Plasson, Mikko Franck, E.P. Salonen, P. Järvi, C. Eschenbach, P. Jordan, I. Fischer, J. Colon, K. Nagano, P. Eötvös, L. Vogt, and T. Hengelbrock.

She is also active in chamber music, having been a member of the Trio Alinea and a laureate of the Fnapec Prize with the Cordes et Ames ensemble (string quartet and voice).

Her interest in jazz has led her to collaborate with artists such as David Murray, James Newton, Gregory Porter, Ibrahim Maalouf, The Amazing Keystone Big Band, China Moses, Tony Tixier, Matt Jones, and Jon Batiste.

Since 2022, she has been performing with the Paris Mozart Orchestra under the direction of Claire Gibault.
