Beethoven l’Africain
Inspired by Nadine Gordimer’s short story « Beethoven was one sixteenth black »
On Nelson Mandela’s Prison Letters
Fascinated by cultures of the World, Fabio Vacchi has always been inspired by African music, even if his own style remains within the western classical tradition. According to him : « while we erect new walls and bar- riers, and let people drown in the sea, music demonstrates the self-evident: « our cultures can bring us together. It is only through our inhumanity that we alienate ourselves. »
