the season
2024-2025
We are entering the Paris Mozart Orchestra's 14th artistic season with renewed joy, a highly committed and united group of musicians, an extremely competent and active Board, loyal programmers, and a warm welcome from our artistic residency in Bourges—recently designated the European Capital of Culture 2028—promising us exciting and unprecedented developments!
Our Orchestre au Bahut program has flourished across two regions, Île-de-France and Centre-Val de Loire. Since 2011, we’ve maintained our policy of commissioning an annual mélologue, alternating between female and male composers, while selecting texts that connect music to the pressing societal issues of our world. We share these works directly in schools, from kindergarten to vocational high schools, reaching both the rural areas of Cher and the suburbs of Paris. This year, we are thrilled to be accompanied on this journey by two prominent artistic figures: Académicien Erik Orsenna and composer Orlando Bass!
A new subject that deeply engages us is the role of art in preserving mental health. A significant partnership is taking shape with the Georges Sand Psychiatric Hospital in Bourges.
Another exciting novelty: we’ll make our debut at the Printemps de Bourges with a rapper... but shh, that’s a surprise!
After three successful editions, the LA MAESTRA International Competition and Academy have secured their place in the global music scene, allowing us to showcase talented young female conductors, invite them to lead our orchestra, and prepare the next generation!
A huge thank you to our loyal sponsors and public and private partners who continue to support us.
